I read a ton of literary fiction (mostly modern, both adult and young adult), but have found that my tastes are morphing (or "maturing" as I like to put it) as I get older. I have in fact read three amazing non-fiction books this year (The Warmth of Other Suns, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, and the awesome, eye-opening When Everything Changed: the Amazing Journey of American Women from 1960 to the Present ), which have given me a new appreciation for books that are about real events. It turns out that true stories can be just as interesting as made up stories! Who would've thunk it? I'm also a big fan of graphic novels; usually I stick to the non-superhero, harrowing-war-memoir type, but I may also be found reading Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 comics from time to time. Like I said--"maturing" tastes...
